General facts ⍰
Merlin Walford and Melinda Bowen raised Shin Wolford.
Oliver Schtrom was formerly Oliveira von Schtradius and was married to Aria Schtradius.
In addition, Aria Schtradius was pregnant.
One day, while Oliveira von Schtradius was on a journey, he is accused of being a kidnapper, by other lords.
This causes the citizens to slowly turn against Oliveira von Schtradius.
And with the lords inciting the citizens so much, the citizens finally decide to storm Oliveira von Schtradius’s house.
The house gets burned down and the pregnant Aria Schtradius, who is at home, gets killed.
Unfortunately, when Oliveira von Schtradius returns at home, it’s a few hours too late.
In the anime, the killed Aria Schtradius won’t be shown.
Totally understandable, as it is really brutal in the manga!

My opinion
Moments:
‘Kenja no Mago’ is an action-anime that can be funny as well as serious and brutal.
And of course you also get beautiful sweet romantic moments.
Not only with the main couple, but also with the other couples in the anime.
Unfortunately, in most episodes there are not many or very short romantic moments to see.
But the romantic moments are always used correctly.

Animation:
There is nothing wrong with the animation.
Characters:
Shin Wolford and Sicily von Claude:
Shin Wolford gets hit by a truck and then gets reborn as the strongest magician in a magicworld.
He knows how to use his power and he doesn’t let anything discourage him.
But since he was raised by his grandfather in the forest, he has little experience of the world and other people.
That’s why Shin Wolford is sometimes a bit confused when he learns something new.
So he moves to the city where he makes new friends, including Sicily von Claude.
Thus, he also makes new experiences in terms of love and is ashamed at first, because he himself does not understand what he should do.
Sicily von Claude is a calm and shy girl, but she can also be very brave.
Although she is shy near Shin, she does not stop her shyness from expressing herself.
Sometimes unintentionally and sometimes on purpose.
Sadly, you don’t often see such girls in animes, who dare to say something, even though they are ashamed, to somewhat boost in the romance.
It’s just fun to watch them both being ashamed, but still dare to express themselves.
The other couples:
From Olivia Stone + Mark Bean and Elizabeth von Coral + August von Earlshide you will also see a few romantic moments.
Otherwise, not much is told or shown by the other characters.
Ending:
‘Kenja no Mago’ ends with a normal ending.
I would definitely look forward to a second season, as I found the story very interesting.
Maybe then one will also see the fiancé of the other couples who were not shown, and of course more romance.
Episode Rating:
I rated Episode 9 with 10 out of 10 points. This was a really romantic episode.
The other episodes were more action with mostly little to no romance.
