My opinion
Moments:
‘Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu.’ is an anime adaptation of the manga that was eagerly awaited by many fans.
The anime is about Shouko Komi, who suffers a communication disorder, and how she tries to make friends with the help of Hitohito Tadano.
In the process, they spend many moments together with the newly made friends.
I really like the humor and all the sweet, heartwarming moments that are there.
However, it might get monotonous for some, as the humor is often repetitive and Shouko Komi always gets off pretty lightl, resulting in Shouko Komi’s communication disorder being treated veeery slowly.
(Shouko Komi is quite OP and can solve most of her problems even if she doesn’t speak a word. Sometimes just her aura is enough).
But so far, I have no problems with it.
Animation:
The animation looks top notch.
I like the style a lot.
It’s really cute and fits the anime perfectly.
Characters:
Shouko Komi immediately becomes the most popular student in the class on the very first day of school.
She is pretty, smells good, has smooth long hair, etc.
However, she is very quiet because she has a communication disorder.
Therefore, she has difficulty speaking in front of others and thus making friends.
But thanks to the help of Hitohito Tadano, this changes in the course of the anime.
She usually manages to solve her problems quite easily, although often not by her own strength, because some people understand her without exchanging a word.
Or she is misunderstood, in a positive sense, so at the end of the day everything turns out well for Shouko Komi.
Hitohito Tadano is labeled as a coward because he wants to pass school without any problems.
He is good at reading the situation and tries not to stand out.
Even though he mostly sees through the situation surrounding Shouko Komi, he doesn’t realize that Shouko Komi has a crush on him.
Or he can’t even imagine that the most popular and beautiful student could have a crush on him.
And since he himself also has a crush on her, he is probably also ashamed to make the first move.
Still, he dares to do a lot when it comes to spending moments with Shouko Komi.
The fact that he is close to Shouko Komi irritates a few classmates.
One classmate, who is very fond of Shouko Komi, even goes into yandere mode and slightly exaggerates with her affection, so much so that she ends up actually kiddnapping Hitohito Tadano.
However, this situation is quickly resolved by Shouko Komi.
Ending:
‘Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu.’ ends normally and announces that there will be a second season in April.
On the one hand, I was happy about this announcement.
But on the other hand, I know that the love triangle involving Shouko Komi, Hitohito Tadano, and a new female friend who shows up will begin, which bothers me a bit since this is such a heartwarming anime.
Episode Rating:
Most of the episodes were very enjoyable.
Especially season 1, episode 10 was my favorite.
(The after-credits scene was just so adorable)
