They meet in the school library when Hayase Nagatoro’s clique (Sakura, Maki Gamou and Yoshi) make fun of Naoto Hachiouji’s manga.

She constantly bullies him and makes him cry, but apologizes after she is satisfied.
Meanwhile, he rather tries to avoid her.

But over the course of the anime, they spend a lot of time together, growing closer and closer.

    Thereupon Sakura frightened by Hayase Nagatoro Aura explains that she only wanted to remove a splinter.
    However, blinded by jealousy, she takes the problem into her own hands and removes the splinter with ease.
  • Hayase Nagatoro is sitting in the bathtub and you can see a bit of her breasts, the rest is covered with water.
    She calls Naoto Hachiouji on his smartphone.
    By mistake Hayase Nagatoro switches to video call without realizing it and Naoto Hachiouji sees her sitting in the bathtub.

Maki Gamou is like Hayase Nagatoro in bullying Naoto Hachiouji, only a bit more aggressive, as she has no feelings for him and simply makes fun of him.

Moreover, she also does this because she knows that Hayase Nagatoro has feelings for Naoto Hachiouji and thus likes to tease Hayase Nagatoro.

Most of the time we see Yoshi hanging out with Maki Gamou and teasing Naoto Hachiouji.

She’s a bit air-headed and repeats everything Maki Gamou does or says, but I find it quite funny.

Sakura just appears briefly in the first episodes, but will be later introduced to Naoto Hachiouji.

She often gets hit on by guys, of whom she makes fun.
But is also not afraid to hang out with some guys.

I wouldn’t call Sakura a promiscuous girl, but she kind of gives me weird vibes.

Sunomiya is introduced rather late.

She is Naoto Hachiouji’s club president and takes the club’s duties very seriously.
When she hears rumors that the club is frequented by indecent guests and that he is neglecting his duties, she becomes very strict with him.

The feelings between Hayase Nagatoro and Naoto Hachiouji she could figure out pretty fast.

Furthermore, she has a habit of showing herself naked in public.
(It’s rather low represented in the anime, but as I have read there is more in the manga)

Hayase Nagatoro has a double date, with Sakura and two male classmates who are both into her.
Meanwhile, Naoto Hachiouji sits a little further away, observing everything and thinking that Hayase Nagatoro will finish them off just as she does with him.
And indeed she does, but she doesn’t make fun of them, rather she puts them down with an annoyed mood, because she is not into such boring guys.

Season 1, episode 2

Hayase Nagatoro is sitting together with her clique (Sakura, Maki Gamou and Yoshi).
When Naoto Hachiouji walked by, he saw them and hid behind a tree to observe them.
Suddenly, two guys join them and invite them to hang out.
She is visibly annoyed by them.
One of the guys then puts his arm around her shoulder, which shocks Naoto Hachiouji.
But Hayase Nagatoro, upset, immediately breaks away from the guy, pushes him away and declines his invitation.

Naoto Hachiouji is supposed to pretend to be Sakura’s boyfriend and go on a date with her to get rid of a stalker.
Sakura wraps herself around Naoto Hachiouji’s arm and he blushes slightly.

Meanwhile, Hayase watches Nagatoro from a distance and seethes inside.
She wants to get rid of the stalker problem as quickly as possible before the fake date turns into something more, and immediately solves the problem herself.

My opinion

Moments:

‘Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san’ can be compared to ‘Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san‘.
While ‘Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san’ is more lovely, Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san is a bit more extreme.

There is a lot of blushing in the anime.
I don’t know yet what Hayase Nagatoro’s intentions are.

Is she disgusted by Naoto Hachiouji and does she get turned on by buling him to get her satisdaction?
Or does she have a little crush on Naoto Hachiouji after all, and is even trying to get him to come out of his shell a little?

Since it’s a romance anime I guess it’s rather the latter. But I think something of the former is also a little possible ^^

Animation:

The animation looks top notch.
The grimaces that Hayase Nagatoro pulls are brilliant.

Characters:

Naoto Hachiouji is a shy guy and avoids girls.
But despite his shyness, he can still show a little courage.
I am curious about his character development.

He is always very shy when he is with Hayase Nagatoro, but still tries to be nice to her and even manages to make compliments to her.
Whereas Hayase Nagatoro, on the other hand, fails to do so.
And when she makes a mistake, she takes it out on Hayase Nagatoro.

  • When Naoto Hachiouji was forced to grab the breasts of Maki Gamou, Hayase Nagatoro got annoyed.
    Until she learned that it was not breasts but bread.
  • When Naoto Hachiouji accidentally fondles Hayase Nagatoro breasts, she hits him, even though it was her idea and she messed it up.

Furthermore, he is good at drawing and was bullied as a child, which explains a little why he is so introverted.

Hayase Nagatoro is exactly the opposite of Naoto Hachiouji.
She approaches him and plays with him.
Bullying him and making Naoto Hachiouji cry is fun for her and satisfies her in a strange way, but she apologizes when she is done or goes too far.

Hayase Nagatoro also doesn’t mind being a little lewd and making fun of his virginity to mess with Naoto Hachiouji.
But as soon as the tables are turned, she chickens out.

She is only like that with Naoto Hachiouji.
With other guys who are interested in her, she gets in a bad mood and turns them down with annoyance.
